I got no problem if people enjoy the way this show presents information, or if they understood it easier than us. But learning that this was adapted from a visual novel i think it makes objective sense why some of this stuff seems abrupt in editing or information dumpy in dialouge.. also we dont expect to be "spoon fed" information. Thats such a negative way to look at something as simple as, "we need a straightforward answer, in an episode that titles itself as the answer, for something that could have multiple different answers." .. We dont have trouble with stuff like this in other shows that dont spoon feed details either.

I don't blame you guys for thinking Kiritsugu was Archer, but there was other options literally right infront of you the whole time and its not like they didn't hint to it from before like with how there should of only been 1 amulet but there were 2 cuz archer had the other one, but at least at the very end you guys connected the dots with them both saying "trace on" and both of them having the same swords. I guess it just comes down to personal preference of how you like a show to shroud things in mystery people like you guys may find that convoluted but others also enjoy and find that type of thing interesting and keeps those people invested. To each their own. I still enjoy your guy's reactions and reviews even though I may disagree on somethings I still come back every time to see what y'all think.

2022-05-23 00:00:46 +0000 UTCHaha :D I think by latest even if you continued watching and were still confused about his identity by next episode I will very clearly say that It's heavily implied that Archer is Shirou. So by that time you would've figured it out by the latest despite being slightly confused / overthinking that it might be Kiritsugu. And if not by then but it gets very clear later on aswell. Also there are hints like the pendant thing with Rin that it's Shirou where he mentioned it briefly at the start of this episode. UBW can be difficult to understand in someways since most people if not all skip the 2006 Deen adaptation where they explain some things but Zero gives sufficient background about the holy grail wars. In Fate route (2006) you get more hints as to who Archer could be

2022-05-22 19:45:00 +0000 UTCthe guardian thing more of a deep dive in the nasuverse (fate universe) thing. to put it simply in nasuverse the world kinda has a consciousness and uses guardians to act a some sort of self defense when theres something like a world or human ending events gonna happen

I still stand by what I said that I would of prefered if they were more direct with the points especially if it was gonna be an information dump of Archers identity, time travel, and fuckin guardians ! Literally we did not need them to beat around the bush that Archer was him from the future with all these different concepts being thrown at us at once. It makes sense to me what that beginning scene was too now though. But in short tryna absorb all this on the first watch, especially while doing a reaction video, is pretty annoying lol
