More clarification on that would of made the scene gel much better. Instead of him just seemingly believing him by looking in his eyes lol

2022-06-16 23:36:30 +0000 UTCI don't understand what is so stupid about the guy who was originally gonna punch naofumi and then decides not to when he confronts him. Its not hard to figure out that the big merchant dude seems to be fairly smart and he literally witnessed naofumi getting fully taken advantage of when the girl was finessing him into buying her a bunch of shit from that exact merchant guy. So when the merchant guy hears what naofumi does he confronts naofumi and when naofumi gives him a straight and honest look and says "you too?" (meaning he is also buying the lies too) maybe he decided to change his mind in that moment and trust in naofumi instead of that bitch who was literally finessing him out of all his money. The merchant guy had grounds to believe that naofumi didn't assault the girl because of what he witnessed in his shop with how the girl was treating naofumi and how naofumi acted when the merchant guy went face to face with him.
