Suzaku being low key suicidal is an interesting character trait for him. It drives a lot of his behaviar. where if he sees any opportunity for a high risk job or to sacrifice himself, he just goes for it. Probably a throwback to how samurai warriors would commit suicide to regain their honor.

Schneizel is Euphemia's, Cornelia's, Clovis' and Lelouch's older brother. Hes also the one who funds and supports the scientist Lloyd and Suzaku's Lancelot. They showed him at the very end of this episode giving the order to do the missile strike. Hes the one who pulled up on the big floating ship, the Avalon. Schneizel is a MAJOR character and up til this point has been only hinted at multiple times since episode 2 but this episode marks his official debut.
