(as of this comment, i am aware that you guys are on season 3. the following comment will only address events in season 2) i am impressed by you guys’ attention to detail. many viewers don’t absorb the complexity of Dracula’s side of the story — about how it may technically be in no one’s best interests to aid him in his suicide mission. moreover, i’m not sure if either of you noticed, but there was another important detail revealed in this episode: the forgemasters, Isaac and Hector, were given conflicting directives. Dracula lied to Hector in order to bring him to the court. Carmilla and Godbrand are against killing all of humanity, or else they will lose their food supply. Hector was told that humans wouldn’t be killed, but put into pens so that vampires will feed on them. that immediately turned him into an opportunity for Carmilla to exploit.
