Hey fellas, super late but yes the guy you saw in the flashback was Ichigo's dad when they mentioned "uncle" meaning Ichigo is their cousin.

2023-02-21 04:08:06 +0000 UTCThe zero squad didn't come out of nowhere they specifically mentioned them during the turn back the pendulum flashback arc where we saw young urahara and young hiyori. They mentioned how kirio the previous captain of squad 12 was promoted to squad zero and hiyori was sad about it cause she looked up to her like a mother.
