2021-10-21 22:51:43 +0000 UTCI mean there are ways but it's extremely extremely rare, there's more or less two ways to be arcane, since you can't exactly train to get it: You're either born with it, or acquire through otherworldly means which is risky (dabbling with the other world) but how effective the arcane mage is dependent on the tier their magic falls in on the magic system aka 0-9 (Asta is an outlier since the 0-9 stages literally do not apply to him since he does not use magic)

2021-10-21 08:02:52 +0000 UTCIt was stated before in the anime that the arcane stage is a stage above the rest in the heart kingdoms magic ranking system it’s not necessarily a power, Asta has anti-magic with a 5 leaf so he’s automatically in the arcane stage no matter how strong he is, as for how you can evolve into arcane its not stated. So they don’t necessarily have to use “arcane magic”, they are essentially just in the highest category that can affect devils with their own individual magic. Just to clarify what they’ve said up until this point.
