Thats such a wack explanation compared to the explanation of how Juliuses power worked with mana zone. Might as well have given him something more unique instead of trying to immitate Juliuses version. Im slowly starting to realize mana zone is just a power boost for who ever is using it. It started off cool but is becoming less special as time goes on.

Also this power system is just annoyingly conveluted for no reason lol. It reminds me of how annoyingly complex jujutsu Kaisens power system is but far less interesting. Im sorry but im not tryna learn a power system with the amount of layers mmorpgs have my guy. Save that shit for video games and keep the focus on the plot and characters

Natural elements cannot be arcane and there is two other categories that we know of, ill list them all(this is explain in the anime) Natural Magic Irregular Magic Arcane Magic ALL Arcane Magic IS Irregular Magic BUT NOT all Irregular Magic is Arcane Magic.. People who have Irregular Magic (non Natural type of Magic/Those not born with Arcane Magic) Could potentially obtain a spell which could end up being Arcane.. In special cases Natural Magic users could create make shift Arcane Magic (Yuno vs Zagred in the elf arc, he created Spirit of Zephyr with negative mana floating in the air so that it could affect the Devil, even though he has Natural Magic attribute.) Stages are almost meaningless, which is why Tabata broke it down instantly the moment it was introduced, when Noelle and Asta both defeated them even though they were lower stage. Its a bare minimum way to gauge Magic talent, not an actual power scale. Power scaling this series is pointless because anyone can beat anyone depending on prep time/knowledge of who they're fighting/tactics/spells/Magic affinity.

2021-10-31 00:12:26 +0000 UTCmagic like dark magic, gravity, bone, world tree, sealing magic, cat from vanesa and ... these are arcane stage it does not matter how strong are you the type of magic makes you arcane stage or normal magic user and the level of mana power makes you stage 0 to 9, asta does not have mana so he is stage 9 but he is an arcane stage and yuno has wind and spirit and he is not arcane stage but he is stage 0 and it can be combine like yami and juliuse and vangence they are stage 0 and arcane at the same time.

You need arcane magic to defeat a devil, (and it is way more effective against devil host) but you don't need it to defeat those who are just receiving a portion of the power, like the dark disciples. The only arcane stage mages in the Black Bulls that we know so far are Yami, Asta, Vanessa Grey, and Nero. Yami, Grey, and Vanessa are natural born arcane stage mages it's just that Grey and Vanessa are just now unlocking their potential. Regarding the Dark Triad's motive, just keep watching and you'll see + some things actually get more fleshed out in the manga regarding motives(if you guys do continue on to read it)
