2025-02-18 00:01:15 +0000 UTCi think so too and i choose that anime. i remember people telling me that it starts very slow and then it hits off but i remember me enjoying all the first episodes. that might not be the case with them especially chris as he clearly loves tje whole good fighting animation and when he sees a new character that looks badass hes like omg he must be strong or stronger then the main character too! which is fine but steins gate isnt that kind of show. i also want them to react to the dub which is good. chris sabat voice of vegeta is in too

It'll be the otaku culture and weirdo anime character stereotypes. Summertime Rendering was very straightforward as a suspense mystery action without much of the typical anime weeb stuff. Steins Gate is VERY different.

2025-02-17 22:39:05 +0000 UTCI don't think its that. I'm sure they would be intrigued by the mystery of the series' main topic and being confused by what's happening. I think what WILL turn them away tho is the weird anime character stereotypes, the otaku culture and memes. If they weren't impressed and annoyed by Subaru's otaku antics, I don't think they'd enjoy Okabe's chuunibiyou 😂 None of it would appeal to them. Considering the first half is slow buildup and FULL of that weird otaku stuff.. I just don't think it'll be an enjoyable experience. For them or us watching them lol. I'd like to be proven wrong. But that's the feeling I get.
