Another reason the one piece live action is better Is because they added a bunch of content that actually enhances the original content by filling in details and adding more context without changing the source material

In atla adaptation they did a lot of "telling" and lore dumping to show how characters felt or thought rather than showing it through their actions and letting the watcher figure it out themselves. Also they made some changes to the original source material that messes with the flow of the story telling significantly compared to the cartoon
