What he was saying, is that a copy of itself couldn't stand to know it's a copy, it would self-implode essentially. That's what happened when he copied himself, and the commander... we saw what happened earlier in the season when they were speaking to the copy through the computer, and it freaked out. But, Kirito's copy that's lived over 200 years seemed fine realizing it was a copy. Kayaba's copy is obviously fine as well knowing it's a copy. Those two have surpassed that handicap it seems.
