Aura killed herself bc Freiren gained control of her through the Souls being on the scales. Aura had no control of her actions she had to obey her command.

2024-04-17 18:59:13 +0000 UTCYou guys forgot that the reason why Aura uses the scales of obedience is because whoever has more mana during the cast will result in the superior mage being able to force the loser to obey their commands. So when Frieren told her to "kill yourself" that was her showing absolutely no mercy for disrespecting Himmel. She put "Aura the Guillotine" to shame by having her die by way of her own title. Not even worth Frierens effort for a "fair battle".

Frieren lived a low key life all this time and even in the hero party she was suppressing herself

2024-04-17 18:46:56 +0000 UTCThe reason aura had to kill herself is because of how her auserleuse spell works. The person with the greater mana can command the one with lesser to do anything and they must obey them. They explain this in last episode and a bit in this one too
