lmao, you guys are not ready for the world building. Also chris i dont know if you caught the subtitles, but while you were talking pie guy was saying "when you aim high, you sometimes come across fights not worth fighting". that is why luffy did what he did. just like shanks in the bar in ep 4 of luffys backstory but what luffy did was obv more extreme, but its a call back to that. Since bellamy isnt a dreamer/high ambitions hes just a peon that doesnt mean anything to him, its like shanks saying "all he did was spill alcohol on me, thats nothing to get mad about" and shanks didnt go hard until his friend (luffy) was getting hurt. but luffys situation is more extreme but that just shows how little he thinks of him, because luffy has bigger fish to fry and he sees bellamy and his gang are not dangerous to him at all. He is coming fresh off of beating crocodile, a warlord, so to see him be this poised on a nobody speaks volumes. especially against bellamy who has no aspirations. but also yall are not ready for the next few eps. W reaction, this mini arc before skypeia is personally a top 5 arc for me, youll see why.
