The 1 thing Homelander can't see though is Zinc & Commercial airducts are typically made of Galvanized Steel, which is coated in Zinc to provide corrosion resistance. If these airducts had used any other kind of metal or coating we would've lost Hughie in this scene. The showrunners knew what they were doing with this scene so its fun to think about the what ifs. lmao

Hence she was suggesting to watch dumb movies like Transformers 2 and watching reality TV. The tool with the blood on it at the end of the scene would be what she used to lobotomize herself with. She probably does it a lot to shut of her brain (her brain must exhausting to have). She has moderate healing regeneration so her brain will heal.
