How Detailed Should The Burns Be?

So I'm currently finishing the next page for biology Project, and I'm not gonna lie, the way I have the skin looking is kind of gross. Like in the sense the skin is really tender, and slightly warped. I think it's more realistic, but I don't know if you guys would be alright with that.

New Shading Style

Hey guys, wanted to get your opinion on this new shading style I'm trying. It's hard work, but I think it pays off. All of the shadows have to be painted in manually.
