The lighting was more of a challenge than the last time I tried this, which was probably back in 2012 or so. It took a while to get the right exposure for both the external flash and the internal darkness of the pool, but once I got this shot, I knew I had figured it out.

But realizing that i hadn't shot in the water at night in so long began to wear on me, so when my aunt said her apartment's pool was usually deserted at night, I arranged to have Erika meet up with us to give it a try.

It's difficult for me to find pools to shoot in, often having people offer their community apartment complex pool. I've never been a fan, having to deal with onlookers and just an overall lack of privacy if I want to actually shoot some artsy, nude shots.

As mentioned too many times, Erika is one of my favorite people, let alone models. She's sweet, natural, unassuming, and though self-conscious, always willing to try to overcome whatever fears or doubts she may have.
