Stench Kow and Thousand Teeth

I have no idea why the abyss needs its own kind of cow, but it stinks and it's spelled with a "k". Now for something cool.

Thousand teeth is a dope-ass croc that will make your players afraid of the water. Give 'em a rickety bridge to climb over that it can jump up and destroy and you've go...

Armanites

Armanites are demonic centaurs. If they gallop fast enough they can run on air, but they're not all that good at flying. A group of them can stampede up together and crash into an army and just have a grand old time. Some of 'em can throw lightning bolts.

Spectators

I don't have the slightest clue of how spectators fit in with the rest of the beholder crew, but I love how weird they are. They're from Mechanus where they hang with Modrons just being goofy and waiting for someone to summon them so they can guard something. As they approach a thousand years of ...

Pterosaurs

Pterosaurs are basically just big pelicans, and pelicans are goddamn terrifying. They're gonna crash down next to you and just bull rush you until you fall over, then flip you up in the air like a juicy fish and take to the skies.

Meazels

Meazels were a group of people that Baalzebub rescued from an awful plague, and now they're sullen and ungrateful about the whole situation. The Bravo is just a nasty boy that's gonna infect you with all manner of diseases and curses. The mancatcher is just a dog catcher, but for people.

Skulvyn and Uzollru

Got a coupla sea monsters for you today:

The Skulvyn's like an eel-horse that has four bladed tails and emanates an aura that slows everyone else down. It's pretty good in a straight fight, but it's favorite thing is to cut you up and dance just out of reach while you bleed. Being underwate...

Gold Dragons 2

This dragon knows you don't mean it, but he's still a sucker for a good bootlicker. Even better if you're ineffectually swinging on him, making him look very tough and strong. Groveling is a totally valid tactical approach to killing him.

Gold Dragons 1

Gold dragons are red dragons, but bossier and marginally less murderous. I'm trying not to duplicate breath weapons, so the gold's fire breath is a line that leaps from foe to foe, as kind of a riff on the red dragon's pyrokinesis.

Spider Fiends 2

Y'all, I know nobody needs this many spyder-fiends. I'm not sure who I'm making these for, but I love these nasty boys and I hope they'll find a home in someone else's game too.

Spyder Fiends

Spider fiends are spiders with wolf heads, and there are way more varieties than I expected. They serve the Queen of Chaos, who hasn't been mentioned in official lore since 1993 so who knows what she's up to these days.

Dibbukim

The dybbuk box is a fun way to introduce a spooky haunting adventure to your campaign. The dybbuk itself is a Jewish ghost that does The Exorcist stuff, but you can use any sort of ghost or demon in the dybbuk box depending on the tone and difficulty you're trying to achieve.

Phanatons

Phanatons are little monkey-raccoon-men that glide through the trees, killing any spiders they find. Fun fact about spiders; they don't actually have any muscles for extending their legs. Instead, they've got a series of hydraulic tubes connecting all their legs to their cepholothorx and they ext...

Destrachans

Destrachans are underground velociraptors with big old megaphones for faces. They can tune their sound cannons to harmonize with specific materials, making whatever they want explode a little bit. Hopefully they pick something other than you.

Raptors

A velociraptor's all well and good, but what we all want deep down from our raptors is a Deinonychus, which is much more well-suited to stalking through commercial kitchens. If you want a raptor that's a lot bigger and a little clunkier, the utah-raptor's got you covered.

Archers

Synchronizing fire is an interesting phenomenon. If your goal is to shoot as many people as possible, firing at fast as you can is the way to go. The point of archers isn't really to kill people, though, it's to make them decide to go home, and a load of arrows hitting all your buddies at once ca...

The Green Man and Tzakandi

The Green Man is an Archfey of the Green Court, a legendary  being that's an icon of fertility and rebirth, a forest guardian that shows up in a load of myths and art across different cultures. Robin Hood and Peter Pan are sometimes represented as instances of the archetype, as is the story ...

Master PDF Update 1.5

Up to 811 monsters! Some changes coming down the pipeline too. Starting in July, I'm thinking about taking weekends off posting, just because the current pace is making it tough to prep for and run my game.

On the flip side, in July I'm going to start adding lore, skill DCs, encounter group...

Ghour and Haures

Got a couple different flavors of minotaur-demon here. The Ghour is the ogre to the Goristro's giant, and the Haures is a centaurish thing with the top half being a giant minotaur and the bottom half being a spiky spider, like a humongous drider. Baphomet makes them specifically as a joke to piss...

Coldlight Walker and Oinoloth

The coldlight walker is a frozen zombie that glows with a blinding light, like the cover of The Thing. If it kills you, you turn to ice and can't be resurrected, and your weapon will freeze to your hand like A Christmas Story if you make the mistake of hitting the creature with a metal weapons. Kenku

These are some stat blocks I did months ago and just forgot where I put them. I've got a rooftop-leaping gang of kenku in my spellpunk setting, so those are the general inspiration. I just love the image of a bird man throwing roofing tiles at people.

Feyr 2

I made the Primordial Feyr as the final boss fight for Skal For Initiative's last campaign, the embodiment of the first nightmare that has been incubating at the edges of reality since the dawn of dreaming. Venemous Snakes 2

The more you learn you learn about venemous snakes the more you see how very badly they just want to never see another living creature that isn't for eating.
