This is a backstage from a photo session with Ania, taken with a digital camera which captured much more than what ended up on film :) So let's begin. Part one

Despite the film breaking, it still turned out to be quite a nice photo session. Such are the charms of analog photography :)

This is one of the last sessions with Magda, I always look forward to our photographic collaboration. And on Wednesday, Magda is debuting as a model for artists at Rysownia. I think it will be very inspiring.

The way Julka looks into the lens has once again appealed to the photovogue administrators and another photo has been added to my portfolio on that site. I don't know if this acceptance means anything for my artistic work, but I'm happy every time I get featured there :)) it's a bit childish, but...

As usual, this winter is too long... due to the lack of sunlight, not only is my vitamin D level suffering, but also the silver on the film. Even my favorite Ilford Delta 400 doesn't always cope well, although I usually push it to 800. Why this introduction? Because it was a wonderful gift that t...

There is a significant difference in using a prism versus a waist-level viewfinder. For half my life, I shot through the viewfinder like in a standard camera. But then I realized that in medium format, the whole trick is to look through a magnifying glass - from the top down. That way, you feel m...

My grandfather painted an oil portrait of my grandmother. It was a classic portrait with a pearl earring and black hair braided into a plait. Against her dark hair, that earring resonated even more strongly.

The last time I saw it was two decades ago.

Now I take photographs with braid...

I'm eagerly awaiting the return of both.

P.S. I used the free-lensing technique here.

Having hosted Rysownia for over a year, I can say with complete confidence that Iza is a perfect match for this place - a former sculptor's studio.

Iza consistently amazes and inspires artists with both her form and endurance.

And it's an absolute artistic challenge to capture this ...
