For the curious, here is a version of that last piece without the normal pass lighting/detail emphasis. The expression is far less readable, and the book doesn't stand out at all. Not to mention the squish...

I'm so friggen happy with how this came out. ;v;

Not only did I learn and implement a neat lighting trick, but this is also a ludicrously difficult pose to make, and I think it came out believable! :D And it's just an overall nice piece to look at, I think. ^.^
